Natalie Regier has worked at the
Research Institute since the summer of 2006.
She completed work on the Engagement
study, determining appropriate activities for persons
with dementia that not only engages these persons but
also reduces negative behavior.
Natalie is currently assisting with TREA “Treatment Routes for Exploring
Agitation” focusing on individualized
non-pharmacological interventions for demented elderly
people who manifest agitated behaviors. She also administers the Mini-Mental State Examination
(MMSE),
a tool used to examine cognitive ability.
Natalie’s interests include:
A cappella singing (she was a member of the
Gettysburg Four Scores), kickball, soccer, running,
and Washington Redskins’ football.
Natalie plans to attend Medical
School in the fall of 2008.
